Meet The Team

Francesca Ilsaint
Officer of Communications

  • I currently attend the University of Central Florida where I am majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Sociology. I have made the Dean’s list Summer 2019 &  Summer 2020 and also the Presidential Award Spring 2020. I will be graduating Spring 2022 after which I will continue to pursue my goal of being a physician.
  • I joined Hearts for the Homeless Orlando my freshman year at UCF. Because I wanted to be more involved in the organization, I interviewed and served as a secretary director for a year. After seeing all the great work that was being done in Orlando, my most meaningful being helping the Homeless population in Orlando  find shelter prior to hurricane Urma, I signed up and became a secretary director for the International Board after which I now serve as Officer of Communications on the International Board.
  • I joined Hearts for the Homeless because ever since I moved here from Haiti, my main life goal has been to give back to the less fortunate and to the people of my home country. Hearts for the Homeless was a great way for me to start doing so while in college. This organization allows students to give back to the less fortunate on an international scale while also learning to be great listeners which allows us as future healthcare professionals to be better advocates for the individuals that we will come across.
  • After graduating from UCF, I am aiming to attend the University of South Florida to obtain my Master’s in Medical Sciences. From there I will start the process of become of a physician either through an Osteopathic or Allopathic medical program. While the Osteopathic philosophy is something that I strongly believe in and very much aligns with my sociological perspective and how I was raised in my home country, my dream medical school however offers an Allopathic program. Only time will tell what type of physician I will become.
