I joined H4H back in 2016 when it was simply a student organization at UCF. Once I started volunteering I felt the heart and energy within its mission and impact and knew I had to be apart of its story. When we decided to transition it into an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization I took on the role as Treasurer. I now serve as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Officer Board Member.
I have always had a passion for service and social justice. This organization helped me realize that passion and gave me the space to build up my skills in leadership and management. When we first started H4H International we wanted to help individuals in our neighboring cities, however, I now see it as an opportunity to advocate for human rights to healthcare across the globe. Public Health has been put in the spotlight after 2020, and I hope to use this momentum to continue to shine a light on the importance of social determinants of health like housing, education, economic status, and food insecurity.
