Officer of National Research and Innovation

I am currently an undergraduate at UCF studying Biomedical Sciences. I will be graduating in Spring of 2022 and hoping to continue my career in medicine.
I serve as the Officer of National Research and Innovation for H4H International. As officer I accept and screen new research proposals, guide their creation, and ensure their integrity before submission to our IRB and Journal. I have also been elected as president of the Orlando Chapter in H4H. As president I get to help our members serve the homeless population while also looking for opportunities to reach a wider scope of the underserved.
I have always had an intrinsic drive to help people. College provided many new opportunities, none however, seemed to provide the same experiences as H4H. Interacting with the homeless population to create new interpersonal connections while also helping an underserved population seemed too good to be true. After being a part of the organization for almost 3 years I can wholeheartedly say taking that leap of faith has payed off.
After undergrad it is my goal to gain acceptance into medical school and continue on my journey towards becoming a physician.
