Chapter operations
How chapters are run and reported on — from the update system that tracks them to the leadership that carries them.

Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer, Hearts for the Homeless International
Orlando, Florida · H4H International
From a first volunteer shift with H4H Orlando to the executive office — chapter operations, people, and the systems that hold a growing organisation together.

Sastha Rajamanikandan is a student at the University of Central Florida and the Chief Administrative Officer of H4H International. Beginning as a volunteer with H4H Orlando in 2023, he has since led various initiatives across the organisation.
He first organised an educational initiative on menstrual health for Tamil-speaking women in Sri Lanka. From there, he became the liaison for one of H4H's chapters in Brazil, where he helped them organise data collection efforts and acquire partnerships in the area. He also worked with chapters in Florida and Texas to create natural disaster relief plans to keep homeless communities safe during bad weather conditions.
Sastha went on to focus his efforts in various departments, from chapter operations under Emma Scott, Chief Operating Officer, to finance under Jacob Rose, Chief Financial Officer. He reorganised the US chapter update system, strengthened chapters' leadership, helped with staffing for US and international chapters, and acquired insurance coverage for the first time ever for chapters in Florida and Texas.
Sastha's current role reaches into chapter operations, human resources, marketing, and compliance. He works with the various departments and visits chapters to ensure smooth operations so H4H may continue its founding mission: to serve those who have been overlooked.
Outside of H4H, Sastha is involved in research and advocating for his local community. He researches patient outcomes in fetal myelomeningocele repair and the role of succinate dehydrogenase in small cell lung cancer. In his free time, he tutors students from underserved communities on various subjects, represents H4H at neighbourhood advisory council meetings, lifts weights and runs, and plays chess.
