International chapter operations is the team a chapter outside the United States works with day to day. It runs from Amman and covers South America, Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
How is this different from expansion?
Expansion opens a chapter in a new country. International chapter operations keeps it running afterwards — communications, clinical partnerships, event reporting and leadership succession.
What support does a chapter abroad actually get?
A named regional ambassador, help securing partnerships with local clinics and food shares, the clinical protocol and teaching materials, and a 48-hour response standard that international chapter operations holds itself to on any correspondence with headquarters.
Do chapters abroad have to follow the US model?
No. The screening model is adapted to local traditions and to the healthcare system already serving each community. What stays constant is the protocol for taking and recording readings, and the standard of care behind a referral.
Can I start a chapter in a country with none?
Yes — several regions are actively expanding and expressions of interest are open. The first conversation is with expansion; international chapter operations takes over once your chapter is accredited.
What language do chapters operate in?
Whatever their community speaks. Central materials are issued in English and adapted locally, and regional ambassadors are recruited from the countries they cover rather than assigned from headquarters.

Dr. Sarah Haddad, BDS
Amman, Jordan · International chapter operations
Dr. Sarah Haddad is a Jordanian dentist and healthcare advocate who has been involved with Hearts for the Homeless since 2022. She began her journey with H4H Jordan as Treasurer, and later served as Chapter President in 2024.
During her time with H4H Jordan, Dr. Sarah introduced the organisation’s dental sector, expanding its healthcare initiatives to include dental screenings, oral health education, fluoride applications, and dental extractions as part of community outreach efforts. Her work helped broaden the scope of H4H’s healthcare services and integrate oral health into its community-based initiatives.
She currently serves as Executive Officer of International Operations at H4H International, where she works with chapters across the organisation to strengthen international collaboration, support chapter development and operations, and expand H4H’s impact globally.
